Space
Center Houston Museum
In the summer of 2001, the
Space Center Museum at the Space Center Houston asked
my permission to build a
full-size installation of my future racer artwork. I was thrilled to let
them
use it since I'm a supporter of
space exploration and I love science and technology museums.
This installation was designed
as a photo-op where museum visitors could actually sit in the car.
It was featured as part of
their summer exhibit showcasing space technology in the world of high
performance auto racing.
The exhibit was so popular that they kept it on display for years after the original exhibit ended.
These photos were taken the night before the new exhibit was
opened to the public on
Memorial Day weekend, 2001.
